transparently "behind the scenes".
Technology overview
The core system operates on a Windows 2003 Server & IIS 6.0 environment
located in a dedicated hosting facility. The BookIt software was built
around a multi-tiered architecture model from the ground up using
.NET technology and the C# language.
Our suite of .NET applications including ASP.Net web based applications,
.NET Smart client/Windows applications and .NET Windows Services all
“talk” to the core application server through a .NET remoting
service layer. The BookIt database is a SQL Server 2005 database backed
up daily.
Behind the scenes systems are continually being improved and enhanced,
with new features, improved security, more efficient processes being
developed and applied. As a central technology provider these benefits
are rolled out across the whole BookIt network without any further
investment required from users of the BookIt technology.
The BookIt technology is the a differentiator between BookIt Ltd and
other providers of technology or reservations services to the tourism

Server and hosting overview
BookIt owns all servers and hosting equipment. Our servers are located
at a dedicated, secure data centre provided by iSERVE
and are monitored 24/7. We have an excellent up-time track record.
